💀 Welcome to VESSEL 💀
VESSEL is an atmospheric 2D dark-fantasy action platformer built with Godot Engine. Take on the role of a cursed knight, unleash your inner rage, and survive the horrors lurking within the deep, desolate caverns.
In this dark world, you must TRUST NO ONE but your companion, the Witch, as you fight together to break the ancient curse.
⚠️ A NOTE ON THE GAME JAM THEME ("Trust No One"):
While other games try to betray or backstab you with cheap tricks, VESSEL approaches the theme through PSYCHOLOGICAL SUBVERSION. By telling you to "Trust No One", the game seeds absolute paranoia into your mind. Every corner you turn, every dialogue from the Witch, and every path you take will make you second-guess yourself, waiting for the inevitable betrayal.
The ultimate twist? The world is harsh, but completely honest. You were lied to by your own paranoia. The game tricks your mind, making you the untrusting monster in a desolate world.
⚠️ NOTE: The game is currently in Early Access / Alpha stage. You may encounter some bugs. Your feedback is highly appreciated to help improve the game!

2. Double-click the "VESSEL.exe" file to play instantly!
3. If Windows SmartScreen blocks it, click "More info" -> "Run anyway".

this game was very fun to play, although i think you left the dialogue in vietnamese so i had to translate it to understand it. also i dont know if this is intentional but on the second level i accidentally went to the left and went back to the first level and i had to do it again. overall, i really enjoyed the gameplay!

Since the game is currently in early access and under development, you might encounter some inconveniences—such as teleporters resetting your progress. I have been working on this title for a relatively short time and am developing it entirely on my own, so bugs are inevitable. I sincerely apologize if the experience falls short of expectations. I have now switched the dialogue to English, and you can download the game from my itch.io page.

Hmm, I just made a few small changes to make the game harder: there’s no turning back now—lose once, and you have to start all over from the beginning. Simple, quick, and decisive. Thanks for liking my game. Stay tuned for Part 2!
